On each Sunday morning, as people enter the

church,  greeters are always present to shake hands

and welcome people to the service. Friendly ushers

also lend an arm, when needed, to escort people to

    seating in the pews.

Provided Church Bulletins list the order of service

and contain various announcements. At the start of

the service, the tower bell is rung.

Before the sermon of the day, children are invited to

the church front for an object lesson, usually from

Don C. C. The choir sings and a reader shares

passages from the Bible. Occasionally, special music

comes from talented members and non members.

Following the service, The Minister shakes hands

with everyone leaving the sanctuary. Everyone is

invited to enjoy fellowship and have coffee or other

beverage as well as baked goods.

During the service, First Presbyterian young people

care for the very young in the Nursery. Bible study

for adults and  Sunday School for the young takes

place before the Sunday service at 9:00 AM during

the Fall,Winter and Spring.  First Presbyterian has

many very talented people who provide special music,

readings and on occasion, amateur theatre arts.

( We do mean Amateur but with surprising excellence)

   Membership

First Presbyterian is always open to anyone wishing

to join the church. Contact Mary Shupe ( Church

to a Session meeting where you will be welcomed

officially by each Session member along with the

    Minister and Mary Shupe.

Some goodies will be shared also. On New Member

Sunday you may experience a barrage of balloons.

passing by St. James, pop in on our Sunday morning

Sharing Resources,Changing Lives

"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you

have." - Hebrew 13:16a   If you offer your food to

the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted,

then your light shall rise in the darkness and your

gloom be like the noonday. The Lord will guide you

continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places,

and make your bones strong: and you shall be like a

watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters

never fail.

When we share what we have, God blesses that sharing.

While most of the world's people in greatest need live

far from us, we can still respond to God's call with our

gifts to the One Great Hour of Sharing...offering

hospitality with a temporary home for people fleeing

war or natural disaster, allowing them to have shelter and support to beg to begin rebuilding their lives.

- doing good by providing a clean cup of water to a

thirsty young girl by establishing wells and sanitation

systems in her community.

' sharing what we have so that hungry people will have

food by teaching sustainable methods of agriculture

that help families increase their yields and their income.
