Bear Ministry
The Bear Ministry has made a difference in to many places--not just in St. James but all over. Hospitals in Rochester, Minneapolis and one even traveled as far as California. Please pick one up out of the pew and send it to someone who needs a little extra hug, a little extra love during trying times in their lives. Or...you can even send a bear to celebrate the birth of a baby, a new career or a start in a new school...so many ways the bears make a difference.
And right now there seems to be a lot of our members who have special needs due to illnesses for themselves or for members of their extended families. These people, whether they are members of this church or not, can use a little extra "hug" and that is made possible by our "Bear Ministry".
What can you do? You can "take or send" them a Care Bear that you will find in all the pews in the sanctuary. Every person who has been the recipient of a bear has been so grateful - it is amazing what just a little "love" can do. And so each bear that has to a "new home" has been a blessing.
