News from the Sunday School
From Discipleship Committee
The discipleship committee would like to
thank those who have been teaching Sunday
School. The new quarter has started and the
teachers are Jan Zender for pre-school/
kindergarten; Karen and Kevin Jence for
1st - 3rd grade; Tory Clark for 4th - 6th
grades and Linda Becken for 7th and 8th
grades.
Sunday School will be starting up again
January 3rd. We will again be "Walking
With Jesus". We will start following him as
a boy in the temple and continue the journey
with Him through His crucifixion and
resurrection. Teachers are still needed to
help out. Each week features a lesson, story,
craft, cooking or some type of drama. Please
prayerfully consider signing up to be a part of
teaching our youth the wonderful story of Jesus.
Youth News
We now have our meetings on Saturdays as the
Wednesday afternoon meetings weren't going to work out.
The youth have voted on a name for the group, that being
(The Wild Things) and
have a goal of earning Hoodie sweatshirts and T-shirts with the name and a
logo on them. Preliminary research indicates about $18 for Hoodies and about $9
for the T-shirts. The youth want to participate in upcoming parades and
come up with a small info sheet they can hand out, telling about the group
and what we're about and
who we represent.
Thanks to all who
have supported the group.
